Description: Veronica ‘Pink Shades’ (Veronica longifolia) Nice pink variations on one of nature’s only true blue flowering perennials. Veronica, or Garden Speedwell, is a fabulous addition to a flower rich lawn where bees and butterflies will readily forage for the nectar it produces in abundance. Speedwell grows happily in any well drained soil and is happy in full sunshine or partial shade. Sow in trays, indoors, from January to May, or September for over wintering. Sprinkle the seeds over the growing compound surface, keep moist and maintain a temperature of 20-25C, 68-77F. Germination normally takes place within 14 to 30 days. When the seedlings are large enough to handle thin out into individual pots and gradually harden off before planting out in May. Veronica is normally in bloom from June to September.
