Description: This is an early smooth base 3 pc mold blown 1860s ale bottle probably from a New England glasshouse.....it has no embossing....Hand blown in 3 part mold, bimal...early smooth base with dot in middle....applied tapered lip with ring....dark olive amber blackglass....8 5/8"tall x 3 3/4"round....square shoulder ale type bottle.....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage, except one tiny flake at base edge. A nice clean bottle with no haze. Crude whittled glass . This bottle has more green than amber.....a hard to find bottle....
