Description: For sale is a very cool 1869 Three Cent Nickel. Three Cent Nickels were minted from 1865 to 1889 and are so scarce that not a lot of people even knew they existed. And as the years went on they minted less and less which made them even more rare and valuable. Even in low grades Three Cent Nickels are very valuable. 1869 is a better date in the series in that they minted a very small 1.6 million coins.As you can see from the pics the coin is in nice shape, and it would come in at a VG grade. All lettering and date are nice and bold, and even the Roman numeral "III" on the reverse is completely visible, which is always the first thing to wear off of these coins. The coin has no excessive damage and it has not been cleaned. I do have multiple coins available in the exact same grade and condition if you were interested in buying more than one.
