Captain and aide-de-camp for confederate brigadier general John B. Magruder. Rose to rank of major. wounded at battle of Malvern Hill. Served as inspector general, Savanna 1862-1865Born 10/31/1835 - died 7/25/1875 in lookout mountain Tennesse. Buried in Savannah. A signed letter from him is in the special collections Univ. of Tennessee.The message is stamped "cotton exchange building cor.
