Description: Interesting fine press book. This seems to have been possibly the only publication of The Laurel Press, which was clearly influenced by Bruce Roger’s work for The Riverside Press/ Houghton. Limited to just 225 copies, the price was $10 in 1923, which is indicative of the high standard this press was aiming for. This copy bound in red morocco and marbled paper covers, with marbled endpapers (this is different than the standard edition of this book, which was bound in a vellum spine. Condition: Very good. Pages are bright and tight. Cover is neat, gilt still bright and clear. Slight loss of leather at foot and crown of spine. Neat find.
