Description: 1950 Holton Stratodyne Trumpet. Holton made some outstanding horns over the years, and in my opinion, the 1950s were there finest work. This was a top of the line pro horn when it came out. Intended as a lead trumpet in its day. Plays like a solid vintage trumpet. This one has had some minor dent repair, particularly around the bell rim. There a bunch of spots with lacquer missing. The second valve was very leaky, and was replated by Charlie Melk a couple years ago. First and third are still in good, original shape. Slides are in excellent working order also. No major issues remain. Just a great playing vintage trumpet. Does not come with a mouthpiece, but does come with a recent generic case that's in very good condition.Ready to play!
