Undated, this type was issued between 1957 and 1962. It is signed by H. V. R. Iengar. "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (Modern Issues 1960-) by Albert Pick. #29b. Face: U/9 • 763784 • Signature: H. V. R. Iengar, Governor. • Red-brown on violet and green underprint. • Asoka Column at right and in watermark. Back: Tiger looking left. • Seven value text lines. • Watermark: Asoka Column. The Note: A veteran, it passed through some hands. It has no edge tears, but it does have a body tear and the ubiquitous staple holes. The note will be sent in a new currency holder that protects it.
