1972 Vtg Springbok PAST TIME PUZZLERS "Artstyle Chocolates" COMPLETE Puzzle 4540

Description: Circa 1972 vintage Springbok PZL4540 "ARTSTYLE CHOCOLATES" from the nostalgic Past Time Puzzlers series. This was a series of 12 puzzles that look back to old-fashioned food and pantry products--think Cracker Barrel--and came in a lift-top, presentation-type box. Based on actual vintage advertising, the artwork on the boxes was designed to look worn and distressed. The puzzles do NOT match the box lids, but depict the actual product that would be found inside (ice cream, nuts, honey, coffee, marshmallows, etc.) The box lid opens to reveal a reduced-size picture of the completed puzzle, and a clever greeting-card style message. These puzzles have about 115 pieces, and come in a small rectangular box (4" x 6" x 1-9/16") with an additional 2-piece cardboard inner box. Sometimes these puzzles are found with the inner box still sealed! Undated, but presumed by their numbering sequence to have been made in 1972. Made in the USA. Springbok's puzzles are famous for their unique die-cuts, thick pieces and clear, richly colored graphics. Within a puzzle, no two pieces are the same! CONDITION: This is an authentic, pre-owned vintage item that is over 52 years old. It is 100% original and COMPLETE (no missing pieces) and is in overall NEAR-MINT (pieces) to VERY GOOD (box) vintage condition. A delightful "snack size" puzzle, just challenging enough to satisfy your puzzle cravings:) The pieces are like new--beautifully colored, glossy, and sturdy. There are no bent, broken, torn, chewed, or replacement pieces. Completed puzzle is a 7" by 10-1/2" rectangle. The back of the puzzle is GREEN, with age-appropriate toning. Pieces fit together perfectly, and the finished puzzle lays flat and smooth. Box is in overall VERY GOOD condition, with age-typical scuffs, dings, split flaps, and shelf wear. There's a 2-1/2" diagonal tear in the picture of the chocolates. The "greeting" area is unmarked (not signed). The 2-piece inner box is sturdy and clean. There is no tape, tape residue, writing, or other markings. Please see all photos, including closeups. Note that everyone's monitor or screen will portray colors and light reflections differently.
