Description: Brazil Missionary Letter, 1976 One-page typescript letter, dated February 3, 1976, from Jerry & Lois Wood, Gospel Mission Union, Humaita, Amazonas, Brazil. With original envelope. Probably mimeographed to be sent to multiple supporters -- addressed by hand to Mr. & Mrs. Kerr and with a hand-written note at the bottom thanking them for their donation and mentioning a colleague who had died. In the letter the writer (Jerry or Lois) describes his "pioneer evangelism" traveling by plane in the Amazon jungle visiting villages. He mentions the difficulty and expense of covering such a large area, with poor accessibility and villagers who have been wared against them by Catholic priests. Very good condition.
