Description: Donruss/Leaf/Score/Pinnacle Brands Executive ProofsThe Iconic 90s Insert - Donruss Crusade Ultra Rare Mystique ***ATTENTION*** - The Red Crusade Execs have a curvature to the card. You can detect this in the photos of the back of the card. BGS is the only grader who grades Execs and they do not consider the curvature to be damage or imperfections. There is evidence of this in my Jim Thome Red Crusade that is graded at 9 with no significant low subgrades. I lucked into a vein of Executive Proofs recently and am making them available. I love the backstory, or at least what we know of it, and I've always wondered exactly how these were used, exactly. What are Executive Proofs? They were intentionally made by companies like Score/Pinnacle Brands and serial "numbered" with XXs as opposed to chop shop sheets from printers/vendors. From what we know, it's believed these are extremely few in number. But for the best info, or at least most trusted and credible info, can be found on baseballcardpedia under 1998 Donruss Crusade - possibly the best known examples of Executive Proofs. You can find the link at the bottom of this description. What most want to know is how many of these exist. Right now, as of 5/9/24, it is believed that there are two copies of each Green, Purple, and Red Executive Proof.
