19th Century Prim Gathering Basket W Bent Wood Handle & Lg Shallow Square Form

Description: Here for sale is a great 19th century gathering basket. Made from woven wood splint , it has a large and shallow form and square shape. I would think this basket would have been perfect for gathering flowers or fruits and veggies from the garden, or storing wool or sewing projects. It has a bent wood handle and is constructed with lots of hand cut tacks. The basket measures 13 inches across the handles by 13 3/4 across the other way by 9 1/2 inches tall at the handle. It appears to be in good condition with a bit of roughness to the splints and one or two places of loss… please refer to my pics for condition. Nice and country! Buyer pays shipping.
