Description: 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard double-cut plus in very good plus condition. I'm old school and put my guitars away in their case when not being played. Never liked the idea of suspending a guitar off the wall with a hook. That's tempting fate. The player that had this guitar before me was/is one of those. And the latex material interacted with the finish at the headstock and neck juncture and left spots on both sides. Not gut wrenchingly bad, but it's there and as an honest seller I'm mentioning it. If it weren't for that, the guitar would rate excellent condition. It looks worse in the pictures than it does in the flesh. But if you wanted to, you could easily make it go away. It wouldn't cost much dough either, more time consuming than expensive. Wet sand it smooth, level it with some vinyl sealer, spray your black lacquer, let it dry, wet sand and repeat a couple more times, then finish it off with a topcoat of polyurethane or nitro. Polish and your done. It never bothered me that much, but to each his own. Gold hardware has very little tarnish or wear. I took out the garbage high output Dimarzios that were in it when I got it and installed the best pickups you can buy: Seymour Duncan '59s in both positions. Now it sounds like it should. Frets are easily at 90%+ {he must have not played it much, told me he liked his PRS better}. I like it well enough. I have owned it for about six years and am thinning the herd as I am retired now and am downsizing. This guitar reminds me allot of a Hamer I used to have decades ago that I should have never sold. Anyway, no repairs other than the change of pickups which was necessary. The weight is very good too, much lighter than my single cut LP. I'm pretty sure it has a modern weight relief. My old worn out back appreciates that, and yours will too.
