Description: For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Rare Parker Duofold Senior 125th Anniversary Limited Edition 557 of 1125 Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium (.88mm) nib. This Parker Duofold Senior comes in the original Limited Edition Duofold boxes, Parker literature, and has never been inked. In 2013, Parker celebrated its 125 years of unique craftsmanship and design innovation by unveiling the Duofold Senior 125th Anniversary Limited Edition Fountain Pen. This fountain pen is limited to only 1,125 pieces worldwide and this one is number 557. Inspired by the iconic Duofold Giant, the Senior is a finely crafted pen made in France, showcasing Parker's design capabilities in this refined black and silver writing instrument. This limited edition pen is a modern representation of George S. Parker’s visionary spirit when he first conceived the renowned Duofold. The new Duofold reintroduces the brand’s patented ‘ciselé’ pattern, a chiseled metalwork that first appeared on the Parker 75 range in the 1960s. The Duofold Senior 125th Anniversary Limited Edition features a beautiful combination of silver-plated overlay and precious black resin. The fountain pen is finished with a Centennial-sized 18K medium nib coated in highly polished rhodium, and engraved with Parker’s famous arrow motif. The pen comes presented in a black lacquered wood box. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. All of the trim shines brightly with no wear to the finish. The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The cap banding is stamped with PARKER FRANCE and is in perfect condition! This Parker Duofold Senior measures 5 3/8" inches in length capped and 6 5/8" posted. The butt-end of the barrel has the limited edition number 0557. The Parker Duofold 18K Solid Gold Nib is marked "M" on the back of the feed for a medium line/stroke. The nib is in fantastic condition and has never been inked. The Parker NIB's writing portion (iridium) measures roughly .88mm, or a medium point when measured with digital calipers. This fountain pen uses an ink converter and accompanies this fountain pen. It is a Parker-branded ink converter. It will also accept Parker ink cartridges that accompany this pen.
