Description: Good scale and classic form on this wood carved rocking horse. Nice dimensional mane, tooled leather, metal stirrups and the tail appears to be made of real hair. Unmarked, likely late 20th century. Looks great but has a few issues. It clearly leans to one side. Structurally sound, joints are holding but this has "bowed" a bit to the right side. The other issue is a crack in the lower, right front leg. Looks to have been glued, a rather clean break and solid repair. This also leans back on the rockers, doesn't level out on its own. That said, still displays quite well as found. The painted finish is very good, looks like some paint 'skips' on the inside of front legs. Some blue rubbing around the handles by the head. Saddle, leather and stirrups looks quite good. The tail is good, has minor signs of age. No chips, no loss. Typical signs of age, patina and light handling. Please refer to photos and let me know if you have any questions. 25" long, 15.75" tall, 6" wide at base. Buyer to pay actual UPS or FedEx shipping and handling charges anywhere in the US. Careful packaging and insurance included. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!
