Description: A relatively early 19th century downturned short panel fiddle back applied drop handle spoon. Apparently this silversmith’s claim to fame was that he was a respected clockmaker. He appears to be an accomplished silversmith as well. Minor wear to the bowl from stirring in one direction. Front monogram A Hull, reverse has period conjoined script monogram AH. Hallmark J.Mott.
