Description: Exquisite early 1800’s hand drawn watercolor with gouache portrait of a gentleman. The family of this portrait are from Pennsylvania. In a way, the image reminds me of a younger George Washington. The frame is Eastlake and I believe is original to the portrait along with the mat which is gesso with gold leaf. I was able to notice this since the paper was loosened from the back of mat. The glass is original and wavy with seeded bubbles. The frame also has the perfect primitive look. It measures 13 x 15 x 3.25” and fits and 8 x 10 print. Please message me with any questions. I will carefully package this item and ship it to you the next business day after payment. Thank you!
