Description: Antique 1920's Shocking Pink Silk Velvet & Gold Lamé Opera Cape! Have you ever seen anything quite like it?!? The pink silk velvet panels are nearly fluroscent, its so bright! The rest is composed of pink and gold metallic lamé in a dotted Art Deco pattern. Huge padded, rolled collar. Hidden slits under the silk velvet panels for your arms to go through. Has a single hook and loop closure at neck. Fully lined in silk. Label: "Emmy Toinette Gowns - Hollywood Calif." As-is / wounded bird condition. Clearly someone had it stored on a hanger for far too long. The right shoulder has a medium-sized area where the fabric has worn away. With a few smaller spots around it. Left shoulder has the same damage, but not as bad. I was thinking of finding matching pink silk to tack down under the remaining gold threads to repair it, but I just don't have the bandwidth right now. There are also a few other tiny flaws; a small stain near the bottom hem of the silk, as well as flaws in the lining, which are not detrimental and not seen when worn.
