Description: Up for bid is an English Georgian sterling tea urn warmer insert, maker ET, London, 1817-18. The top flange is 5 ¼ inches in diameter and the whole piece is about 7 inches long. It weighs 276 grams. The top flange is pierced and has two small ring handles. The central cylinder is made to accept a 2 inch diameter iron heating rod (not included). The cylinder has tightly fitting lid with a knob handle. The flange is marked with an [ET] maker’s mark, lion passant and duty mark. The lid has a lion passant and a date letter for 1817-18. Condition on the piece is fair. The flange edge is wavy and dented, and the interior is dark with tarnish. The exterior of the cylinder is unfinished and has significant mineral stains from use. Regardless, a useful piece if you have a Georgian urn missing the insert!
