Description: Antique Gillinder Maple Leaf Vaseline Glass Circa 1885 Excellent Condition UV Reactive Platter. "Gillinder & Sons catalog in The Jones Museum of Glass And Ceramics illustrates many other patterns that were obtainable in the mid-1880s. “Leaf”, often referred to as “Maple Leaf”, is depicted on two pages" and this is an example of one of the serving pieces made in this embossed pattern. It has been well cared for and is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. I inspected the maple leaf point and tried to feel for any flea bites which I do not feel any. This piece was originally purchased from a glass museum and has been well cared for and displayed on a stand in a secure cabinet. It measures 13 1/2 inches in diameter and is 9 1/2 inches wide. The center has a diamond patter and a thicker base rim on the bottom. Beautiful piece.
