Description: This beautiful two piece 19th century dress features wonderful balloon sleeves and glittering antique gelatin sequins. The partially boned light pink mid weight finely ribbed brushed cotton top has a lovely sheen, slightly off the shoulder cut, and is trimmed with rosettes and lace. That same black lace is fashioned over ruffled and pleated multi layered glazed brown cotton to create a marvelous skirt, adding balance to the buoyant bodice. This is a truly charming and authentic early ensemble that you will love! Fair to good condition. Three holes on right side of bodice between upper chest and armpit, with some fraying to fabric rosette, as pictured in seventh photograph. Two holes on shoulder of left side of bodice (eighth photo). Small tear in lace of skirt, as pictured in 13th photograph, and smaller corresponding hole in underskirt. Some fading ( example last photograph), and scattered small stains. Bodice has alternating hook and eye closures, all of which are intact, and is partially boned. Hand stitching. Fully lined with clean interior. Skirt has two hook and loop closures at front. Measurements as follows: top is 16 inches from shoulder to shoulder, 34 inch chest, 26 inch waist, and 14 inches from shoulder to hem. Waist of skirt is 26 inches (lots of room to be taken out if desired), 42 inch hips, and is 32 inches from waist to hem (longer in back). No returns on antique clothing, please.
