The temple was built in 1572-3 under the regime of the last Sultanate of Gujarat and is emblematic of the architectural beauty of Ahmedabad - a symbol of the time when Gujarat dwelled and prospered under Muslim rule. The plaque is beautifully engraved with bright cut decoration which makes the tree glitter and glimmer under the glass. Set in an architectural hard wood frame - which is original.
