Description: WARDS AIRLINE AM FM TUBE RADIO MODEL 25WG-1570B CIRCA 1951 This is a very nice AM FM 8 tube Airline from around 1951. It is listed as a project. It was tested for this listing with a variac. It does power up, the dial lamp lights and there is weak reception on both bands. It will require service. The bakelite cabinet is in great condition - solid, no cracks or chips and very minor scratches. It will clean up nicely. The original knobs, grill cloth, badge (on the grill cloth) and dial glass are in very good condition and all are original. The band knob slips on the shaft, making changing from AM to FM difficult but this is an easy fix in my opinion. I did not remove the chassis for photos but I expect it is as clean as the cabinet and may be untouched. Please see the photos. The rear cover is in excellent condition and the loop antenna is perfect. It measures approximately 16 x 9 x 9 and weighs about 12 pounds. Very solid and great looking table radio with a presence.
