Description: This is my old MessagePad 120, fresh from a long run of mid-90s meetings and travel. (One-owner!) It's a perfectly good instance of a MessagePad, and does everything you'd want it to, with one obvious exception: The display is not what it once was, and there is a two-pixel line down the middle of the display, as you can see in the pictures. The flaw is in the hardware; doing a hard reset of the OS had no effect. The display works fine otherwise; it's totally a usable device, so it didn't seem right to list it as "parts only". I've tried to adjust the price to reflect this. The case is in perfectly good shape, as is the stylus (both included, of course). I would ship this without batteries to keep USPS from being bothered by the lithium backup battery, but everything you'd need are cheap and easy to get to (4 AAs and a CR 2032 for backup). So, if you want to know what Newtons were all about, or just want to have one of them in your collection, or want to understand how we got from dumb little calculators to modern phones, this will definitely do the trick. Pick it up while you can!
