Description: This is a first-generation REPRODUCTION of an original script from a 1983 episode of ARCHIE BUNKER’s PLACE from my personal collection (not a Photoshop-created imitation).The episode is titled “Store Wars/Murray Klein Strikes Again/Revenge of the Jew-Guy” and it aired as the 93rd episode of this spin-off of the ALL IN THE FAMILY series. The original script was owned by actor Allan Melvin (Sam the Butcher on Brady Bunch and the voice of Hanna-Barbera’s Magilla Gorilla) who played Archie’s pal, Barney Hefner..In this episode, Murray returns to recoup his investment in the bar. Archie gives him a hard luck story, and Murray allows Archie six more months to get his share of the bar sold. This marks Martin Balsam’s final appearance on the series. The title of the episode is an obvious riff on the original Star Wars trilogy with Return of the Jedi which hit theaters three months after this episode aired. What many don’t know is that one of the show’s actors, Jason Wingreen (who played bartender Harry Snowden), was the original voice of Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back. His voice was replaced by George Lucas for the movie’s 2004 rerelease to match revelations from the Attack of the Clones movie. Wingren died at 95 in 2015 and Jeremy Bulloch, who physically portrayed Boba Fett, paid tribute and said, “he will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all the Star Wars fans.” The color cover has been copied and laminated to keep it looking pristine and the script pages have been spiral bound together for a beautiful presentation and easy reading. Great care has been taken to make this a piece that a collector will be proud to own and show off. Sorry, but the photos are NOT included.
