Description: Avon Gift Collection 1997 Nutcracker Musical Anniversary Glass Dome Clock Nice! Measuring 5 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 8" tall, this vintage 1997 Avon Musical Nutcracker Dome Clock is in excellent cosmetic condition! Very well taken care of! Clock works perfect and keeps excellent time....but dancers on carousel below have an issue. The inner workings of the carousel are intricate. It is supposed to slowly rotate to the left.....and then slowly rotate back to the right. This is supposed to be constant and non stop. For some reason...they do not spin. They spin very freely with a slight finger push...but eventually come to a stop. Maybe someone with some clock knowledge could possibly fix this! But in any case.....this does not take away from the beauty of this clock! Features ballerina, mouse and soldier on carousel with roman numeral clock shown above. Base of clock is blue in color with hand painted toys, holly leaves and stars around perimeter. At the top of every hour a musical rendition of "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy" can be heard. Switch on bottom allows music to be switched on/off. Glass domed lid simply sits on top of base. Operates on 4 "AA" batteries (not included). Base requires 3 batteries and clock above requires 1 battery. Clock simply pops out to reveal battery compartment. A very nice addition to any holiday collector's collection! Weighs - 2 lbs.
