This is the 1918 five hundred Rubles. The banknote has dark olive-green inscription in Cyrillic over pale olive green underprint on the front and black inscription on brown and olive green underprint on the back. It also displays the Czarist Coat of Arms, the double headed eagle, in dark brown or black in the center of the back. Both front and back are framed with an ornate design. However, the design of the border is different on the back from the one on the front. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. It has two signatures. This particular note has the number AA-076 displayed twice on the front. The note has a watermark depicting the denomination repeated horizontally throughout the note. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good extremely fine or better with all the details being very well preserved. The note has several folds and a few light creases. The note is clean with no staining and retains quite a bit of its original crispiness, stiffness and sheen. The banknote also has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears and no splits. The corners of the note are intact and squared with minimum rounding. The note has some minor roughness along the edges especially along the bottom edge.
