Description: This Case knife was produced before India banned the exportation of Sambar stag. The most sought after stag due to its density and workability. The polished stag on this knife was the premium stag on Case knives, but it was time consuming and expensive. Case came out with their 6.5 Bone stag after the supply of Sambar ran out. It was much more plentiful (bone) and less expensive. This one is a real beauty, well made, and a great example of Case in the 20th century. It has surgical stainless steel clip, sheepsfoot, and pen blades. Nickel silver bolsters and brass pins. New, never carried or used. (No box). Made in the USA.
