Commodore Amiga A1200 + 060 @100MHz, MX Keyboard, HD 1.76MB Floppy Drive & More

Description: Commodore Amiga 1200 NTSC Motherboard, Recently Recapped and With: TF1260 with an LC060 running at 100MHz Mechanical MX-style Keyboard (these use the Gateron KS-33 "banana" low-profile switches and stabilizers with Amiga MX Keycaps) 3rd Party Amiga Compatible High Density Floppy Disk Drive – 880K & 1.76MB works identically to the A4000’s FB/FZ-357A drive, including copy protected disks (tested without the 68060 using the Lemmings copy protected game disk) 160 GB Samsung Laptop hard drive 130 Total MB RAM Original Amiga Mouse New Beefed up 63W Dual Voltage Power Supply Amiga “Power Stick Joystick” Amiga Video Adapter (23-pin RGB to 15 kHz VGA with Vertical Line Removing Circuitry) Condition: Newly recapped NTSC Amiga A1200 motherboard The standard "timing fixes" were applied for accelerator card compatibility. RF module was removed Included is an TF1260 Accelerator that adds 128 MB of RAM 68882 floating point processor emulated in software Original Amiga Mouse New beefed up, dual voltage Amiga power supply – outputting 63W of power to accommodate accelerators and multiple add-ons: video, USB, sound ports, etc. The RF modulator was removed to give space for future expansion, such as USB, upscaled video, added sound, or other. Included are the Amiga A1200 OS 3.0 Installation Disks and original 3.0 ROMs MX Keyboard - Gateron KS-33 Low Profile 2.0 Banana Switch, which "has pronounced tactile feedback and is heavier than the Gateron Low Profile brown switch, delivering an extraordinary typing feel." Type: Tactile Operation Force: 60±15 gf Pre-Travel: 1.7±0.4 mm Total Travel: 3.0±0.2 mm Operation Life Up to: 60M cycles Finger Strike Feeling: Bump at top, tactile responsive, strong pressing force, clear rebound* The caps lock LED shows as a blue light next to the power LEDThe High Density (1.76MB) floppy drive has a floppy disk inside to protect the heads during transport While I don’t think this is easily seen. There is some yellow discoloration to the case, this is due to chemical breakdown of the 1980s plastics used as a result of heat and sun exposure; please keep the computer in a cool, location without direct sunlight. Terrible Fire 1260 upgraded to the latest firmware allows the Rev 4 680LC60@75 CPU to run at 100MHz. A cooling solution is added (see pictures) that blows air directly over a solid copper heat sink, in my testing, the CPU runs fine with the standard solid trapdoor. With the cooling solution, I was able to play games for hours without issue at 100MHz. Without the cooling fan, the CPU will overheat and become unstable in less than 20 minutes. The cooling fan is easily removable, and the CPU can be run at 75 MHz Included is the standard trapdoorWith the 3.0 ROMs and 3.0 Install Disks, the A1200 can go back to its origins Video Output options: This Amiga has NTSC output, screenshots were taken on a NTSC (Dell U2410) monitor, and the WHDload preferences has been set to adjust the screen for game play. This means PAL games stored on the 6.5 GB WHDload partition will display properly (not all games were vetted with the included kickstarts). ModePro can adjust the WHDLoad screen as needed. 23-pin Amiga Video-to-VGA adapter with VLR (vertical Line Remover) makes it ready to connect to a 15 kHz monitor – all screenshots were done connected to an NTSC Dell U2410 monitor (not included). ModePro is active in changing from one screen mode to another as needed, should a program open in an odd screen. Composite video output is available for those who prefer a simple, yet fuzzy color picture. See last photo for modern options to display vintage video output Storage: 160 GB 2.5 in. Samsung HDD laptop hard drive Working Amiga A4000 Compatible High Density 3.5" Floppy drive The PCMCIA port has been tested to work with a 4GB CF card in a PCMCIA adapter Software: · System Partition – contains the Amiga OS 3.2.2.1 installation plus various tools, utilities, devices and useful day-to-day programs · Work Partition – holds a plethora of graphics, music, and office software, as well as, various programming languages. · WHDs Partition – lists in alphabetic drawers around 6.5 GB of games (from the Web), a couple of launchers, etc. · Storage – has copies of all the system software back to OS 3.1 up to the most current updates (3.2.2.1) of the AmigaOS. Disk images and downloads are stored there with an Icon and Image selection useful for desk work. · A notebook is included with information on WHDload, the DOpus 4 user manual, the ClickDos II user manual, and several articles on included Amiga items, including error codes. A USB thumb drive containing manuals and reference material is included. · The original ROMs and the six OS 3.0 installation disks are included · Any questions, please ask Shipping: Total weight of box - 14 Lbs. Size of Box - 24 x 16 x 8 inches. Shipping charges are as low as possible, and I will pay the additional insurance coverage – despite eBay’s 13.9% seller's fee, I will not rip off the buyer on shipping. *Please ask questions before considering this (or any) purchase; after a sale I can provide thorough help, assistance, and recommendations from my 37 years of Amiga ownership (50 years of computer experience), refurbishment and use, if asked. I consider this as a service provided with the purchase of this Amiga. I refurbish Amigas, and have parts on hand to fully build several more A1200s. Standard eBay Disclaimer: This is a refurbished A1200 from 30 years ago; it has been restored to work, but may have flaws, blemishes, DIY 3D parts and other non-original items. These computers are no longer in production and parts may be impossible to locate at reasonable prices, hence, it is sold “as is.” This case is not new, please look closely at the supplied photos, as I cannot guarantee there are not unseen issues. Absolutely every part was neither photographed nor tested ad nauseam to guarantee it works to your satisfaction. This is refurbished to the buyer's expectation; I cannot state that it will do anything more. It should function with proper handling and care for the time being. See Screenshots of testing. The PCMCIA slot was also tested to work, as was the external floppy port, no photos were taken. Any parts cleaned of yellowing have had an “archival” UV protection coating applied (the same used in art galleries) to best protect the 30-year-old plastic underneath from immediate light and heat induced aging. Please do not purchase if you do not understand this, and that my 4K photos uploaded to this site, may be reduced in quality by the hosting server and/or shown at lower resolutions, blurred or with flaws not visible on your monitor. Your monitor resolution and quality are not my fault. The PSU has a Mean Well AC-to-DC power converter. The power connector, is not an original and was obtained from Jeff Brit in the States. The 23-pin Amiga to VGA VLR adapter was constructed from a PCB from Pcbway; the new capacitors are from Mouser and I use Chris Edwards method of replacement. Please feel free to contact me before or after purchase, I will try to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I try to put together a package from the wall socket to modern monitor, despite reliance on modern parts. I do not leave buyers' "high and dry" after sales. Likewise, I will do what I can to make a difficult situation better. In case of shipping damage, please take photos of the box and all damage, and contact me as well as the shipping company. I obtain shipping insurance beyond what eBay and the carriers say they offer, and these photos help me recover the funds to correct the sale to the buyer.
