Dreamy Color Change Sapphire, Orangish Pink to Coppery Peach, Unheated, 0.88cts

Description: This incredible 0.88ct sapphire was mined in Mozambique, is SI clarity, is unheated/untreated, is 5.40x5.40x3.75mm, and will dazzle you with its magical color shift throughout the day and night! The stone has a veil running through the center. Because we want you to see the veil, we have included a photo of the sapphire under long-wave ultraviolet light, which clearly shows the veil. We had the stone recut, and the veil did not cause a problem. The stone is solid and strong. The recut was done so that the stone could reveal its incredible beauty, and the cutter did a magnificent job! The stone is soft orangish pink in incandescent light, a more intense pink in sunlight, and turns a coppery peach color in white LED light, as you can see in the video. We have not had the stone rated by a gem lab as to whether it is technically a padparadscha sapphire. It sits near the mid-range in terms of color intensity. The color change takes the stone from orangish pink to coppery peach. Coppery peach would not qualify as padparadscha color if that was the sapphire's only color. The sapphire has a soft glow rather than a dazzling sparkle, but the cutter brought out the warmth and glow to perfection! This sapphire, named Tessa by the gem cutter, is softly glorious and would make a wonderful engagement stone!
