Blood Knots are used to connect the line portions of the leader. A clinch knot is used to secure the tippet ring to the end of the sighter material. We tie them in multiple lengths so you can choose how you want to fish it. All leaders are tied by true angling addicts in the U.S.A. Recommendation for beginners: We recommend a heavier butt section for easier casting and we recommend that you adjust down in size once you become more proficient at casting. The heavier butt sections give you more control but they are heavier and can potentially create drag with a slight belly in the line on longer casts.
