My wife is selling her own collection of birds as we are getting to the age where we want these to go to a good home and we have nobody to give these too. So out they go. This bird would have been made in 1990's decade known only because of the logo that is on the birds belly near the wing, but I have NOT been able to figure out when it was made or even if it was in the line which I don't think it was. The logo has a "9" in the Fenton embossed logo and that is the only reason I even know when approximately it was made. This bird appears to be a violet satin glass that was used at that time, and has what I think are Charleton style Roses painted. They could be peonies as well, but because Fenton has used that Charleton style Rose design in other glass decorations they have done, it would stand to reason that is more what it is than not. This is a very RARE bird...don't let it get away. It is I feel a wonderful example of the fine work Fenton and their employees did in all the years they were in business. I know it is pricey but it is well worth it. We paid more for this bird at the Fenton Gift Shop than we are offering it to you for. This bird is about 4 inches long from beak to tail, about 2-3/4 inches tall and is about 2-1/4 inches wide from wing to wing. As stated before there is a Fenton logo on it, and inside that logo is an "9" which indicates this was made in the 1990's decade. I see no chips, cracks or repairs to this bird but of course it has been on display in our home. It is a non-smoking home so there is no smoke odor to the glass for those of you who might be concerned about that. Our prices are firm and we will not accept any offers.
