Description: United States Geological Survey Bulletins #55 through 61 complete, 1889 - 1890 bound together in wraps as issued by the Goverment Printing Office and USGS as Volume 7 of the bound bulletins, 8vo, original front wrap present but with torn corner, stamps and ownership markings and wear; also wear to the preliminary advertisment pages, and the last plate of Bulletin 61 at the rear lacking. Having said the bad news, the good news is the rest of Volume is in good shape (i. e. Bulletins #55-60, and almost all of Bulletin #61), and included are several important reports, especially for Virginia, Maryland and Kansas.
