Ordnance Officer at St Louis Arsenal, Mo., July 23, 1862, to June 13, (First Lieut., Ordnance, Mar. 3, 1863) 1863, being detached at various times for duty at Cairo, Ill., Helena, Ark., and near Vicksburg, Mis., — and in the Department of the Cumberland, July 16, 1863, to July 15, 1864, in charge of Ordnance Depots at Murfreesborough, Ten., Stevenson and Bridgeport, Ala., and Chattanooga, Ten.; as Asst. Ordnance Officer at Watervliet Arsenal, N.Y. June 28, 1864, to July, 1865. Served: as Assistant Ordnance Officer at Benicia Arsenal, Cal., (Captain, Ordnance, Mar. 7, 1867). Colonel, U. S.
