The Homestake mining claim is located on the north side of Jamieson Creek about 25 kilometers north of Kamloops and is "...one of the oldest known gold-quartz properties in the province, having been reported upon by G.M. Dawson in 1888." From the Ministry of E. M. & P. R. Two separate maps, both executed in pen & ink onto ochre toned, coated India paper. The smaller locator map has a scale of 4 miles to 1 inch, with location coordinates given and measures 12-3/4 inches tall x 7-13/16 inches wide [no map borders] ; the larger, more detailed map measures 17-3/8 inches tall [no upper neat line or border line present] x 7 inches wide to vertical neat line, overall sheet measures 18 inches tall x 8-1/8 inches wide, scale of the larger, more detailed map is 100 feet to one inch with relief shown using both hachures and contour lines, Fowler's notations provide various pertinent observations of the surrounding area and gives the exact locations from which the marked samples were taken. Maps w. matching staple holes near left margin, a few faint creases and surveyor's inventory/report No. "H25" in red ink. Very Near Fine. "Most of the veins (at least five) occur on the Homestake claim and continue to the south through a portion of the Molly Gibson claim.
