By 1840 they erected a forge in Malmos, Sweden and was manufacturing farm equipment, spittoon, and eventually railroad cars and carriage cars. In the years before World War 1 they started manufacturing ships and bridges. By 1950 the shipyard in Malmo had become one of the largest in the world constructing cargo vessels and later year’s submarines. After changing hands several times in 2014 they were bought by Saab. Through the years they have produced these unique Shipbuilders Plaques, with the Kockums trademark and the location and year. This particular one was manufactured in 1944 during the second world war. This cast brass/bronze plaque will be 80 years old next year and it is unknown if it is one of a kind. Return PolicyAll Sales are final. Please ask any questions before purchasing.
