Weather station will search for 3 minutes every hour to reconnect. Sensor reception icon will flash during this time. When icon remains constant, connection is reestablished.Hold HEAT/DEW button for 3 seconds to manually begin sensor search.DISTANCE, RESISTANCE, & INTERFERENCEConsiderationsObstacles such as walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and large metal objects can reduce the range.When considering the distance between the transmitter and the Indoor display cut that distance in half for each wall, window, tree, bush or other obstruction in the signal path.Closer is better and best within a straight distance from each other (if applicable)Do not mount the transmitter on a metal fence. This significantly reduces the effective range.Weather forecast - Station use changing atmospheric pressure to predict weather conditions and require to acclimate to location. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for barometric calibration to generate more accurate forecast. The longer the station operates in one location the better the accuracy.FACTORY RESETBatteries are the #1 problem we see in support. Please be sure you are using standard alkaline batteries dated at least 6 years in advance or testing to 1.48 on a voltmeter that reads in numbers. Hint: Use good quality Alkaline Batteries and avoid rechargeable batteries. It is possible to receive one bad alkaline battery in brand new packaging, so we recommend starting this procedure with new batteries.Have indoor display and outdoor transmitting sensor units at least 5 feet apart with nothing between them. Make sure units are not placed near other electronic devices for interference issues.Remove all batteries from station (and AC power cord) and sensor. Check that connectors are clean & dry from debris.Press any one of the buttons 20 times, to completely discharge the indoor display unit from any static electrical charge. Allow 15 minutes after without any power.Place brand new batteries into the outdoor remote sensor first, then install power cord into outlet, then back into indoor station. Reinstall fresh batteries for backup to station.DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS FOR 15 MINUTES. The remote sensor should be placed in a dry, shaded area. We recommend on a North-facing wall, or well shaded location (18 inches below eaves or onto deck rail) protected from direct sunlight (for accuracy) and direct precipitation (for lasting performance) Mount in a vertical position for proper moisture drainage. NOTE: Fog and mist will not harm your remote sensor but direct rain should be avoided.
