Description: Up for bid is a lot of 16 beautiful vintage Easter postcards . The artists have provided wonderful lithographic illustrations that represent this festive Spring holiday. All of these cards contain lovely lithographic illustrations with beautifully printed greetings. All of them were printed in the early part of the last century and all of them are beautifully embossed. Several of them were printed in pre-WWI Germany. When you supersize the images you will see the fine detail on all of the cards in this auction. The artistry on them is terrific and the colors are still vivid. All of these lovely postcards are authentic antiques. 11 of them have been posted with a variety of cancellations on their divided backs. NOTE: One of them has a scarce Pilgrim Tercentenary stamp on the back. The remaining 5 cards were not posted, and all have handwriting on their divided backs. Many have some really interesting handwritten messages on their backs that reflect life as it was 100 years ago. The starting price for this lot is less than half of what you would expect to pay for Easter cards in a store, and these are genuine antiques...created prior to 1920! CONDITION: Expected light soiling with slight-to-moderate corner blunting. A bit of surface and edge wear. No rips. 3 cards have a light crease at one corner. One card has small handwriting at the bottom on the front. Another card has a hint of a small, light stain at the bottom. Clear images and vivid colors. Overall these 110 year-old paper antiques present beautifully! A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS! It’s an important part of the item description.
