Lovely tall cobalt blue art glass vase: Fineline Studio USA, two "Picasso" faces

Description: This is a really nice, very modern, tall art glass vase made by Kerry Feldman's Fineline Studio, of Colorado in the United States. It has Feldman's characteristic decoration of female faces built around trailed spiral eyes, a hook nose and a black and white button mouth. I would describe it as a tall, slim, good-sized ovoid vase with a low neck and an everted mouth, decorated with a large female face on each side. These are formed with spiral yellow (or orange) eyes, a simple green (or blue) hook nose and a small zebra-striped millefiori mouth, all set on an oval of silver foil. The vase is nearly 25.5 cm high and about 11.5 cm in maximum diameter. Kerry Feldman was a very successful American hot glass artist, who opened Fineline Studio at least as early as 1987. He operated in two locations in Colorado from 1991 until finally closing his studio in 2008. One site says that he created "whimsical, vibrant art glass". This vase shows his modernist influences, especially Picasso, in the human faces that he created with simple, geometric lines and swirls. This lovely vase is engraved with the name of the studio and date just above the base - "Fineline Studio 2005". There is also an impressed mark "F" in the fire-polished pontil mark in the recessed centre of the base, which is ground flat. I take this "F" to be Feldman's personal mark at the time.
