Description: This stunning vintage vase from L.E. Smith is a beautiful example of mid-century modern art glass. The ruby red, sometimes mistakenly called βamberinaβ, glass is handcrafted by literally swinging the hot, molten glass back/forth, creating a unique and timeless piece. No two alike. 31 inches and a diameter of 7 inches at the widest part near the base. Near mint condition (mint=brand new/never used)- NO CHIPS NICKS CRACKS SCRATCHES. Only evidence of use is a bit of dusty in the base. I believe it is called the Simplicity pattern, affectionately referred to as βthe Smoothieβ. Made C1965 in Jeannette, PA. This size floor vase a rare find. The vase weighs a delicate 3.75 lbs, the diameter of the base/marie is 4β, and it is an original MCM piece. The yellow edges, at the top and the base, react to UV light with a strong orange glow indicating cadmium in the glass. DOUBLE BOXED, INSURED, UPS - Ground saver or Three Day. ONE DAY SHIPPING.
