If the clamping screws extrude too much and touch the barrel surface after fully tightened, use a small #6 washer under the screw. Using blue Loctite strongly recommended and check on the screws periodically as they might become loose due to recoil. Always be sure to unload and practice safe gun handling when mounting the rail.
