This is a great 16 piece mixed lot of pieces perfect for getting started and is priced to sell! Century was introduced in 1931 and ran until the late 1940s, except for some items were discontinued early such as the round covered butter, demitasse cup & saucer, 36s bowl, cream soup and liner (!) , and the gravy fast stand. These have become key pieces for Century collectors and in this mixed lot are 4 cream soups!! Add a touch of vintage charm to your dining table with these Homer Laughlin Century line pieces all with the signature Gold Garland decal. Perfect holiday and wintery theme for special occasions - such as Christmas! The Art Deco style plates features the classic Ivory Vellum glaze with a Gold Garland Decal with Gold Daisies - some pieces also have a gold line around the edges and/or with the middle sunburst decal/ Included in this lot are:Four, hard to find cream soup dishesThree, 8" deep plates / flat soups / rim soup bowls - Perfect for soup, salad, sides, serving bowls, and so much more! Century was introduced in 1931 and ran until the late 1940s. This is truly an important piece for the Homer Laughlin Collector - this is the Century Ivory Vellum Glaze. The Century shape was developed in 1930. On February 2, 1931, Frederick Rhead noted in his journal: Finished modeling Century Square shape with Vellum glaze. Samples shown at Pittsburgh show in January. Numerous trails of Vellum were made in the then new Century shape as well as Wells. We have LOTS of Century pieces in the store with super rare items (and lots of other HLC pieces)! Be sure to check out all of them - we will combine shipping if purchasing more than one listing of anything in the store! Condition: Good preowned vintage condition overall. No crazing. Small imperfections of any piece are shown in the pictures which shows a crack on the handle of one of the cream soup bowls, a chip on one of the side plates, underside chips and staining on the three flat soups/deep plates. Otherwise pieces are chip and crack free. Gold garland decal is bright and shiny on most of the pieces, with varying degrees of wear. Some of pieces have differences in the glaze color and amount of decaling as this is a mixed lot of general garland items. Other small small factory flaws present such as sand bumps, glaze pops, or slight glaze misses possible on these pieces. Great vintage condition overall for these hard to find pieces.
