In 1972, Sally Mann discovered a cache of 10,000 glass negatives taken around her town by a returning civil war veteran. Interspersed with thousands of nameless portraits there were images of familiar places, unchanged in a century. This large 13.25" wide by 12.5" tall paperback book accompanied the exhibition, MOTHER LAND, at Edwynn Hook Gallery, New York, 25 September - 8 November 1997. Book is in Very Good condition with very little wear. Covers and pages are square, clean, bright, and unmarked. Please see pictures as they are considered part of the condition description.
