Description: Just when you thought you'd seen it all....these two signs hung on a bulletin board in a NASA facility. One is official, authentic and original, as hung up by NASA management. The other is a parody drawn and hung beside it by some clever wag who worked there. Good for a laugh for sure! The back story is that a long-time friend of mine (now deceased) worked for Philco-Ford electronics division, which was a Gemini and later Apollo NASA subcontractor. He used to bring stuff home from work that was just for fun--Philco-Ford and NASA handed out a lot of team-building stuff--medals, tie-tacks, promo photos and uncommon public promotional brochures. He would collect this stuff and anything else he could find to remember his time on Gemini and Apollo. He tole us about these signs and we had a good laugh over them and one day he said they showed up in the trach can having been plucked off the board to make room for the next big thing. He brought them home and gave them to me. Going through old stuff lately and finding really odds and ends, these things howed up They are about 11x17 and match he pix. These is nothing on the back. So maybe USA space history is not perfectly straight-laced as we have been led to believe. These aren't as cool as some of the astronaut party pix that must be sitting undiscovered in shoeboxes somewhere. But they are a start. Genuine unofficial NASA bulletin board items.
