Description: This is a NOS (New Old Stock, Unused) Communications Specialists model # SS-64 CTCSS Microminiature Tone Encoder for use with 2-Way FM Radio Transmitters and Transceivers. It also provides squelch-tail elimination. This Comm-Spec model # SS-64 has replaced the previously-available models SS-32PA and SS-32SMP units. It is very small - the size is 0.66" X 1.08" X 0.21" so it can fit inside many mobile and hand-held radio Transceivers. It is still in the original protective plastic bag as received from Comm-Spec, and includes the SS-64 circuit board, level adjustment tool, connecting plug and cable, two - double-sided tape pads for mounting and the instructions. The desired tone frequency is selected by the small DIP switch on the circuit board. The SS-64 instructions are available for free on-line download, and I've taken pictures of the sales brochure that you can zoom in on to see some of the specifications.
