Description: Long before I was an antique dealer, I managed the Accounting Dept. for "the worlds biggest optical lab". To boot, most of my father's family were in the optical business. Imagine my dismay when the lab's warehouse manager announced he was throwing away all the old Artcraft & Universal parts. This was in the late 1980's, when our lab filled a rare request to replace old style temples or nose guards or what have you. I convinced the warehouse manager to give the obsolete inventory stock to me. I've kept it boxed up and safe since then, rediscovered in quarantine cleaning. So, time to let go. All of the stock I am listing has never been used before -- truly new old stock. Some are in original packaging, which is worse for wear. The last photo shows some of the frame bases I am selling.
