Description: What is up for sale are Scapin Dyesys Framesets. My inventory is in my shop waiting to be shipped. It is not overseas or in a distributors warehouse. I have a 60 cm (measured center to center) .The photos are of a Medium that belongs to a customer in Vermont. After almost 40 years in the bicycle business, I have been known to find some incredible deals on frames, complete bicycles and parts. The following frame sets are perhaps the single best "deal" I have ever offered. Scapin Dyesys frame sets at half price. Yes an incredible combination of Columbus Spirit CrMo tubing coupled with carbon fiber for a unique blend of tradition, high tech and incredible beauty. The 60 has a 60cm c/c seat tube and a top tube of 58.5 cm. The seat tube angle is 73 degrees and the head tube 73 degrees. The head tube is 209 mm. This is a photo of a customer's Medium complete. The frames are still in their factory boxes with uncutforks. I really don't want to unbox them. Here is a quote from a recent buyer:I have the Scapin and it is the finest ride available. I have owned and own many great bike. The Dyseys is very special and I beleive one of the most interesting, exotic and beautiful frames in history. These Chinese carbon fiber guys are just fooling around. This is the real deal!! > > I am grateful for you input and I agrre whole heartedly with your assesment of this frame. > > > Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!! > > When I had it at the bike shop to cut the fork a number of serious riders came in and everyones jaw dropped. Guess what, they can't buy one at the shop and the owner was a little disturbed as he has the typical high end carbon([plastic junk). The Scapin is an obviously more elegant and in another league. > > Regards, > The original MSRP was $3099.00. I am offering these frames with Easton EC90 full carbon forks, FSA headset and carbon seat post at $1550 .00 Shipping is free in the Continental USA only. The Easton EC-90 forks are uncut so you can customize your handlebar height. The carbon fork and seat post are both custom painted at the Scapin factory. I'd suggest leaving it long with lots of spacers until you figure out your optimum handlebar height. All the frames are measured center to center, The 56 and larger are conventional geometry. Here are some specifics. The frame has carbon seat tube, chainstays and a carbon reinforced head tube. The bottom bracket is thankfully threaded BSA , not Italian. The Columbus Spirit steel tubes include curved seatstays and octagonal, BiAxial top and down tubes. The paint is incredible. To ensure the steel lasts a life-time, the tubes are ceramic bead blasted to strengthen the welds and prime the surface for the WPT weather proofing treatment. This involves an electrolysis process to coat the surface with Zinc salts, inside and out, resulting in a frame that will withstand anything the weather can throw at it. The steel is then mated to the carbon seat tube and head tube insert using a highly advanced adhesive. The frame is then painted in Scapin's own paint shop. I personally have owned two 56 Dyesys with both Dura Ace and Campagnolo Record. What impresses me is the rock solid ride and the absolute beauty of the paint scheme. This is no 80's DeRosa or Colnago paint job. Consumers are beginning to tire of having just another Trek or Cervelo. This is a chance to score something truly Italian (except the fork and headset). Weight??? Not super light , just a great frame. The 56 weighs 3 pound 6 ounces. That is 10 ounces more than an all carbon Scapin Avus but so what. You can still build your 16 pound wonder-bike and at half price , you can afford the ultralight wheels that will make the biggest difference. Hopefully , there is a tall bike connoisseur out there in cyberspace. I recently sold my personal Dyesys to a collector in Arizona. 40 bikes from late 60's to 2010 in his collection. He saw and rode my Super Record version and had to have it. Attention overseas bidders: The factory box is way too big for the USPS 108 inch limit. I can repackage the smaller frames but I doubt the 60 will meet the size limit, Before sending me emails , check your country on the USPS website and see if the Priority Mail limit is 79 or 108 inches. Thanks. Taiwan , Thailand and Australia are some of those 79" countries.
