Description: Please meet Jolie, a OOAK Artist Teddy bear. She is signed on her left foot by Ruth, and by memory, I believe that is Ruth Ann Maurer of Ruth Ann's Old Time Teddies in LaQuinta, California! She has no labels or hang tags. She's from the late 1980's or early 1990's. She is made of a light brown very soft plush. She has glass eyes and a hand stitched black nose and mouth (yes, there's a mouth under the fur) on a scissor sculpted face. She has velvet paw pads. She wears a pink ribbon in her hair. I've given her a vintage cotton wraparound baby's jacket/robe with pink edging and an Avon necklace. She is solidly stuffed. She is five-way jointed and in excellent, pristine condition. Jolie is 16 inches tall and weighs 1 pound, 6 ounces. Could she be the one for you??? She is looking for a home where she can accompany you to your most exclusive day spa for a special day of pampering (because you both deserve it)! :0) Please note: Upon payment, I ship the next business day. Whenever possible, my items will now be sent out USPS Ground Advantage, which is much less expensive than Priority Mail, but slightly slower, by a day or two. For the most part, I relist all the bears that don't get adopted the first time around on the last Saturday of the month. I live in a smoke-free home, but I do have cats who are barred from the bear room and bunny room(!). Names, names, names: If I'm listing an animal crafted by an artist, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances (don't ask), I do not know his or her proper name. I simply rename them using my own imagination (which is admittedly quite active). This is not a slight to the talented artist who created them or meant to confuse the collector...just a way to give them a bit of personality and to have a little fun! (Feel free to change their name and protect the innocent!) A quick note about shipping: Don't you hate it when you're overcharged by a seller on shipping???? A gazillion dollars to cross the pond or go across the country. It's ridiculous. I am striving to be accurate in my listing, but sometimes ebay's calculator is way off (especially for those outside the U.S.). When i calculate shipping, I add in extra weight for the box. If you're interested in an item outside the U.S., don't be scared by what the calculator is telling you.
