Description: Original Russian Cossack shashka Model of 1927 RARE variation chromium plated metal parts of the scabbard and handle. Only bayonet holders are made from brass. Some collectors think that type of shashka was used by NKVD forces and some think they were for engineering units before WWII. The blade is in near mint or mint condition with its own original wooden grip. One side of it with a round ZOF stamp dated 1936, control marks on the other side. The wooden scabbard was covered by the original cover, but the original black varnish is almost gone. Excellent condition. The total length is 38 inches, the blade only 29.25 inches long.
