Description: The Gorge Amphitheatre Coin is was designed to commemorate the 2018 Summer Tour 3 Night Run at the iconic venue. That also happened to be my very first run at The Gorge. The Gorge Coin is 1.75" in diameter, quite heavy, and very detailed. The Gorge Coin was minted in a run of 200 coins. The Gorge Coin evokes the grandeur of the epic setting of the venue on one side, complete with a star for every show Phish had played at the Gorge through the 2018 run, and a line from the song Sanity tucked in for good measure. The Gorge Coin has a George Washington head on the flip-side, complete with a David Bowie Aladdin Sane lightning bolt on his face. This was a nod to the HUGE David Bowie's played over the years at this must-see-venue, and George is flanked by two phrases: "In Clod We Trust" and "E Quattuor Unum" which is Latin for "From Four... One" which pretty much sums up what the Phish sound is all about! Why George Washington you may ask? Well, the Gorge Amphitheatre happens to be in George, Washington. And if anyone belongs on a coin, isn't George Washinton one of them? Carry the Gorge Coin as a good luck charm, and flip it when life throws difficult decisions at you.
