PS2 mouse to CD-i adapter

Description: Custom made PS2 mouse to Philips CD-i adapter for attaching PS2 mice to the Philips CD-i game system. The adapter implements mouse acceleration and the left and right buttons. WARNING: USB to PS2 mouse adapters are not true adapters, they simply connect wires. The USB mouse must know how to 'talk' PS2 or the adapter will not work. In general, if the mouse did not come with a PS2 adapter, it will not work. Due to the wide range of mouse power requirements and the very limited amount of power available from the console, and external micro-USB power supply is needed. Any phone charger will do. This is not provided because it is much cheaper for you to buy your own than for me to sell you one. Power up order: The CD-i only checks for controllers when it boots up, so the adapter needs to be powered on before this. The adapter's code does not always catch when a mouse is plugged in while on, so: - Connect mouse to adapter and adapter to CD-i - Power up adapter - Power up CD-i Tested games - Boot menu (I know, but all games seem to behave the same as the boot menu) - Solar Crusade - Link, and the Faces of Evil (it *works*, but I really don't suggest playing it this way) Tested mice: - Labtec 851680-0000 (ball mouse) - Dell M071KC (ball mouse) - Logitech M-SBF96 (optical mouse) Tested Consoles: - Philips CDI 210/56 - Grundig CDI 110e Includes link to source code for adventurous users wishing to change the button layout, acceleration, implement macros, or turbo fire.
